About WordToys
Wordtoys is a website revolving around the toying of words, dedicated, writing, teaching, and critiquing poetry. By designing aspects of the site as a game, we hope to encourage users to play with language and create their own poetry. We hope that users will critically engage with what it means to write poetry, particularly online. Our aim is create an online community of poets and critics and bring into often-brushed-over questions of motivation and what constitutes authority
About the Creators
Jacob Burch is an undergraduate student in the UCLA Department of English, majoring in American Literature and Culture. His primary concentration is the use of digital standards and best practices in electronic literature.

Renee Hudson is an English Ph.D. student at UCLA. Her favorite poets are Anne Carson, Allen Ginsberg, and Sylvia Plath. It's been a while since she's written any poetry, but she's hoping Wordtoys will make it fun again.
